About us
Our tourist camp opened in 2011. Since then, about 1000 tourists a year from all over the world visit our hospitable corner in southern Kyrgyzstan and take away the warmest memories of our guest house and yurt camping.
Our guest house is located on the Great Silk Road, in the Alai Valley, 70 km on the road from Osh to the famous "seven-thousandth peak" - Lenin Peak (7134 m), which is one of the five highest peaks of the Pamir and Tien Shan. Alai is a valley in the south of Kyrgyzstan, bordering China, located at an altitude of 2500-3500 m, about 150 km long and up to 25 km wide. In ancient times, the Great Silk Road from China to Europe passed through Alai.
In our region, you can see several climatic zones – high-altitude steppe, alpine meadows, lifeless glacial landscape. Alai is a summer green pasture with herds of horses, surrounded by ever-snowy peaks, picturesque multi-colored rocks, mountain serpentines that take your breath away, dizzying landscapes of high-altitude Alpine meadows. Alai is famous for its canyons with fast cold mountain rivers, fresh and cool air, and magnificent sun. In some places of Altai, no human foot has yet set foot.
In our region, you can always taste the best mountain honey in the world, healthy nuts, fresh dairy products, delicious dried fruits, natural aromatic jam.
Our Alai is also a very significant district in the history of the formation of the Kyrgyz Republic. Here in the late 19th century lived and ruled the Alai queen - Kurmanjan Datka, who played a major role in the turning points of the history of the Kyrgyz people. Kurmanjan Datka is a rare historical figure who took responsibility during the very difficult period of the rule of the Kokand Khanate, China and Russia. Her wisdom, determination, courage, and diplomatic skills saved the nation from destruction and destruction. In Altai there is a historical museum dedicated to these events.
